You can convert your keypad into a trackpad with a few simple steps. Press down on your text keyboard, and wait until the keys disappear. Once they are gone, you can use this space as a trackpad. The cursor is going to move and you can easily position it where you want to do the edit.
You can also highlight the text if you press harder on the space. If you release the pressure, the text will get de-selected.
